Why Pay Dues?

Some new residents often ask, "What are the dues used for?"

Landscaping

More than 50% of your HOA dues go toward maintaining the common areas of the neighborhood. This includes:

  • Monthly invoices to the landscaping firm that maintains the entrances and common areas like the cul-de-sacs

  • Quarterly plantings and maintenance and annual pine straw refresh at the entrances

  • Regular maintenance and supplies for the neighborhood's pet waste stations

  • Holiday decorations at the entrances

Insurance

As a Homeowners Association, we are required by law to maintain a certain level of liability insurance.

Social Events

The HOA hosts many well-attended social events every year in all seasons, including:

  • The Annual Egg Hunt in River Shore Meadows each Spring

  • The Summer Splash where kids young and old cool off in giant inflatable water slides in the Riverwood Court cul-de-sac

  • Halloween Potluck in the Riverwood Court cul-de-sac where all the resident ghouls and goblins kick off trick-or-treating admiring everyone's costumes, filling up on snacks and touring the neighborhood in a hay ride

  • Movie Nights, adult socials and concerts in River Shore Meadows

  • The Annual HOA Members Meeting and Bar-B-Que

  • Seasonal celebrations in River Shore Meadows like Kona Ice and the petting zoo

  • Welcome Wagon gifts for new residents

  • Graduating seniors honored on signs at the entrances at the close of the school year

Neighborhood Safety

The HOA Board is always on the lookout for safety issues in the neighborhood, and sometimes we may need funds for programs like:

  • The RSE Neighborhood Watch

  • Traffic Calming measures

  • Signage
